Breaking News: I Posted on the Blog Again

Apparently I’m terrible at updating this blog, so this is what you get now: one big catch‑up post full of shiny new art kids that just moved into the Etsy shop. If you haven’t peeked at mcatzcreations lately, there’s a whole little wave of color, texture, and reclaimed‑wood goodness waiting for you.

New wood wall art

Coastal Driftwood Cascade: A large reclaimed wood “ocean meets farmhouse” piece with cool blues, whites, and natural browns brings serious movement and texture to a big wall, perfect over a sofa or bed.

Honeycomb Harvest: A honeycomb‑style hexagon wood mosaic in warm stains adds cozy, modern‑rustic geometry for smaller spaces and gallery walls.

Rustic Bloom Mosaic: A rustic floral reclaimed‑wood panel with layered neutrals and carved flowers gives cottage‑y, farmhouse charm with tons of texture.

These pieces all keep that reclaimed‑wood soul but go in totally different directions—coastal, geometric, and floral—so there’s a good chance one of them fits your version of “home.”

Colorful canvases & framed art

New abstract canvases play with raised texture, shimmer, and metallics, from calming neutrals to full‑on rainbow moments. You can see Joyful Canopy here.  Midnight Tides and Moonlight can be found here.

Confetti Pop Abstract: a smaller framed “confetti” canvas mixes glossy neon blobs and dots inside a turquoise frame for an instant joy hit on any wall.

If you love our larger statement canvases but don’t have a giant wall, these smaller pieces are an easy way to sneak in that same glow and texture.

Tiny treasures: trinket bowls & candle holders

Mermaid‑scale resin trinket bowls now come in several colorways, including a new color‑shift option with subtle blue‑purple‑green shimmer over a dark base.

Shou Sugi Ban and painted tealight holders in iridescent finishes keep doing their thing—tiny blocks of drama and glow for shelves, mantels, and altars.

They’re the kind of small pieces that make a nightstand or desk feel like it actually belongs to someone creative.

Why I’m posting now

Real talk: I’d love to say I’m going to become a weekly blogger, but let’s be honest—I’m much more likely to be covered in sawdust and glitter than typing diligently. So I’m shifting the blog to be a “what’s new and fun in the shop” space. When a batch of pieces comes together that feels exciting or different, I’ll pop in here with a round‑up, some behind‑the‑scenes bits, and links so you can explore more if something catches your eye.

Want something made just for you?

If you see a piece you like but wish it were bigger, smaller, bluer, moodier, or more glittery, custom orders are absolutely on the table. Many of the designs in the shop can be reimagined in new sizes or color palettes, whether that’s a reclaimed‑wood wall piece for a specific space or a canvas to match your existing decor.

You can browse everything here: mcatzcreations on Etsy, then message us through Etsy or the contact form here and we’ll dream something up together.
